Appearance: Pours an extremely dark brown with no head, not even a film; very leggy
Smell: Dark chocolate, molasses, dried dark fruit all enveloped by Rye
Taste: The Rye barrel tones pervade the flavors with dark chocolate, molasses and dark fruit underneath; after the swallow, the Rye builds further, with a distinct Rye bread aspect enveloping
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy with no carbonation; warmth in the gullet
Overall: Kudos to New Image and Call to Arms (RIP) for capturing what I love about Rye Whiskey in this inky stout
