In a litre stein at Legend Beer, Hanoi. L. Very dark brown, almost black, with 4 cm pale tan head. Looks very impressive! Head dissipates quickish, leaving froth and lacing. S. Not a lot, some yeasty, bready, almost burnt grain. T. Not bad, follows the nose but with a touch of sweetness from the malt that is not apparent in smell. Dry finish without much aftertaste, a little lingering bitterness. F. Light and a touch frothy, perhaps not ideal for the style. O. Solid beer and nice to find a dark one in Vietnam amongst all the lighter lagers.

Served on tap in a Legend Beer mug at Legend Beer Brew House, Hanoi.
Dark brown in a showcase with one finger foamy tan head with not much retention, it continually dissipates and leaves some lacing along the glass-side.
The aromas contain roasted malt, coffee and some yeasty profile while the flavors dominate by roasted character along with a long tail of bitterness from hop as well as roasted malt itself that same time is also a bit astringency. Sweetness is a bit deriving from malt.
The body is light with semi-smooth mouthfeel, crisp, dry, and high carbonation. Pretty decent, not so bad.
