Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a sly dark brown color almost black with a cap of a little white foamy head. Sly roaming messy lace. The aroma had some sweet to roasty coffee tones, light almonds, some toast, and a touch of earthy dry hops. The flavor leaned towards the roasty nutty side and slyly moved into the aftertaste fairly nice. Roasty malt sort of finish. The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, not sure why but I thought it was more towards the almonds than pecans. Usually I can tell the difference. Still, I’d have this again.
