Pilsners usually aren't my thing - but the Infringement from Fate is excellent and different enough from the usual Pilsner to be remarkable.
Served in a Pilsner glass, tall and clear. Thin head, clears fast, with lacy remnants that stick to the sides of the glass for a long time.
There's the hoppiness of many different varieties: Simcoe, Amarillo, Warrior, Palisade, Citra, Simcoe, and El Dorado. However, even with this variety, it's a refreshing and dry flavor that comes through like a classic Pilsner. No sweetness like a Bud or Miller.
Fate claims to throw 4 lbs of habaneros into the batch - however, there's no chile flavor, unlike their Hatch Cream Ale, where the roasted chiles scent and flavor comes through loud and clear on every sip. No after flavor of particular heat, or what I see as a characteristic habanero sweetness.
Effervescent but no bubbles rising while drinking. Seems to hold carbonation which release only when it hits the tongue.
