A cosy and intimate indoors with a wide bar in the small room. Outdoor seating in front on the quiet street. In back is a larger patio and the bathroom building. I would not call it a beer garden, especially when the kitchen fans or whatever machinery fires up.
Beer selection was several of their own brews for a reasonable price, plus another dozen Arizona beers. I had their Märzen which was decent. For food, tried the charcuterie board and the salmon, both of which came with lots of bread and made for a better than average pub dinner. I think this would be a jolly place if you were indoors chatting with the locals. Nice area, the Scottsdale arts district and half a block from the Valley Ho hotel.

Small stucco building tucked a bit of the road across from a construction site that looks like it will soon be apartments. Little bar off the left side of the dining room seats about 10, with additional seating in dining room and patios in front and back. 28 beers on tap, nice local selection. Their wood-fired pizza was delicious.

found this place on a work trip this past summer and have been back 3 times since...all their taps are AZ beers and the pizza is freakin awesome. One of the owners Roger is a really nice and funny Australian, sit at the bar if you can. They do small pours if you want to work your way through several options. The also keep an up to day tap list on their website.

Stopped by a couple of times on a recent trip to Scottsdale. The place is small, and decorated more like an upscale Italian bistro than a beer bar, but don't let that keep you away. Their beer game is legit with 30+ handles of all Arizona beers. Pricing is in the $6-7 range for most beers which is fair for Scottsdale. The severs hustle (actually I think the owner and his wife are the bar servers) and unless the place is swamped (and it gets that way), service is fast. This is certainly the best place to get AZ beers if you are from out of town. I didn't get any food, but their wood fired pizzas looked great

I'm trying not to let my "drink local" frustrations come through in my review but I think the guys running this place are doing about as good a job as anyone when it comes to running a local-only beer bar. Located in the hear of scottsdale but with a neighborhood-bar vibe that's welcoming and not pretentious. They are very focused on showcasing the beers of AZ, the service is always SUPER friendly and the pizza looks fucking amazing. While I don't drink beer because of where it's brewed or because someone thinks it's right to support local only, I have no problem heading here to pick a great AZ beer, grab a pizza and be very content with my decision.

A great new addition to the growing Scottsdale beer scene. Conveniently located at the edge of the Old Town area (I mean, I'm a tourist so I could be wrong about the exact designation) and about three blocks off the Arizona Canal trail, this place was a nice 1 mile walk from my hotel just off Scottsdale Road.
A comfortable long bar with about 10 stools, a bunch of tables behind and a good sized outdoor seating area out the back door (it was 105 on my visits so not a great option then). Bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable.
35 taps of all AZ craft beer. A few years ago that might have been ho hum but the beer scene here improves every year here (and most places really) so it was a nice treat to sample so many beers from the area. Local Goldwater IPA was a highlight, a rosemary IPA was a bad idea poorly executed.
The pizza was outstanding, as was the chicken sandwich. Really a cut above your average pub grub.
A cool place i look forward to visiting again soon.
