At the tap room, in a tulip, pours a beautiful slightly hazed dull gold with a finger of delicate pill white head with minimal retention and leaves great lacing. Nose is definitely hitting Belgian yeast notes, with a little banana, some cloves, some floral notes and earthy barley. The taste brings less banana (or anything else sweet or bright) and more earthy notes…a little surprising in relation to what I was expecting, but I like it. Decently lively mouthful, but not exactly a bite. Body and carb is middling…again, I’d expect a little higher for the style, but that’s not a criticism, just an observation. I like this one very well just the way it is, and would be happy to drink again, if I had the chance.
