This is our blend of sour red ale and spontaneous lambic style ale aged on Minnesota red raspberries and Minnesota grown Hungarian cherries. Resting in the bottle for 9 months this sour ale has low level of carbonation and bright assertive acidic tones which compliment the juicy cherry and ripe raspberry layers. An ale nearly 3 years in the making we are happy to finally get it in your hands.

A huge thanks to Jeff for this one.

750ml capped bottle into a Brooklyn Brewery snifter.

Insane ruby color but this one is near flat. Nose is rasberry seediness, cherry skins, and cinnamon sugar. I also get some cherry pit and candied cherry. Very mellow vinegary notes in the back. Really solid with a huge fruit bouquet. Beer opens light raspberry with a soft cherry tartness. Cherry pit and raspberry seedy tartness builds as this lingers on my palate. A hint of red fruit sweetness serves to try to balance the sour notes. Some vinegar notes at the end mix with an ever-present red fruit profile. Really good. Body is light with very little carbonation. Smooth and puckering on the palate and goes down slightly acidic with a long, lingering, filmy aftertaste. Great for the style.

Had this side-by-side with 3F Hommage and was incredibly surprised to say that it held its own. Definitely worth trying.

poured from a 750mL bottle into a wine glass. pours a dark red in the glass. virtually no head. smells of raspberry and lambic acidity. taste is raspberry, a little cherry, oak and what i would consider to be “lambic sourness.” feel is a little on the thinner side. bubbly and dry. not a bad sour beer at all though. a lot of the lambic qualities shine through while the fruit plays the lead role. i get more raspberry than cherry in the fact that i don’t get that cough medicine cherry smell or taste. it would be interesting to see what some age would do to this beer, especially in the harsh acidity aspect.
