these guys can really do it all. cool to see them finally getting on the national radar a little bit, they definitely deserve that. this one is over the top, an imperial fruited berliner that is both excessively fruity and exceedingly sour, its like sour patch kid candies when you take all the flavors at once and eat them. there is that sugar coated sourness to this, clean but intense acidity, and a sort of candied fruitiness, with passion fruit in front but the other usual tropical suspects in there as well. i get a distinctive lime thing to it as well, i could swear there is some lime zest in here, but it could just be the other fruits with the acid playing a trick on me. tastes almost like some kind of margarita mixer, that sweet and sour, even a little artificial even though i know it isnt, its just the intensity of it that is unnatural, not the flavors themselves, if that makes sense. i couldnt drink a ton of this, even without the higher alcohol, but i admire its boldness. decidedly new school, but about as well done as such a thing could be. always impressed when i drink beer from forager! this one definitely tastes like gummies...

Poured a hazy pink gold with a thin collar of head. Retention was fair, and there was some decent lacing.
Smell was out of this world, a tropical cornucopia of scents. The strongest apparent is passionfruit, which leads the way, but there is also guava, citrus and even a hint of peach. Just really nice.
Flavor was much like the nose, I got the passionfruit first, and then some citrus and guava. I can see where the name comes from because there are many similar flavors.
Feel was really nice and light, and that carbonation was active, as expected for the style. The fruitiness is big on the finish, and it ends dry.
I was not expecting to like this beer as much as I did. It is a really nice beer with fantastic flavors and a great feel. All I want is more. I highly recommend.
