A huge thanks to Jeff for this rarity. 750ml capped bottle into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.
Beer is a bright, deep goldenrod with a foamy white head that collapses quickly. Nose is light apricot with a barnyard funkiness. Fresh puree with a peppercorn brightness. Lively aroma. Beer opens bright apricot pit and flesh. Tart but not overly so. A big dose of funk in the middle brings notes of hay, cobwebs, foam and lemon zest. Some light plastic and fuzzy apricot peel at the end. Finishes foamy with a lingering funkiness on the finish. Awesome. Body is with ample carbonation. Prickly and foamy on the palate and goes down puckering with a lingering finish. Really drinkable.
Definitely one of the better apricot wild ales out there... which is saying a lot considering the amount of stone fruit offerings being made. I'm privileged to try this.
