Brewed with maple sap in place of water and a smorgasbord of specialty malts. Taking inspiration from Trdelník, a delicious dessert found in Prague, we conditioned this thick syrupy stout on roasted almonds, Madagascar vanilla beans, Ugandan cocoa nibs, Mexican cinnamon and astronaut ice cream.

750ml bottle. Label has this as 'VINTAGE 2025'.
Dark brown colored body, no back lit edge. Brief lasting light brown colored head, but there is a complete thin ring and a few small spots of surface storm. No lacing, but leaves a surface sheen on the glass.
Aroma rolls with maple, cocoa, vanilla, and ice cream sweetness. Cinnamon is more felt as a spice than as a smell.
Taste is super sweet, and supported by roasted malts. Flavors of sticky maple, sweet cocoa but also an element of bakers chocolate (with a little twang), and creamy vanilla. Nutty almonds. Subtle cinnamon provides a balanced level of spice. Creamy and sweet astronaut ice cream (but no crunch). Aftertaste is a continuation of the sweet profile, with the cinnamon being the main counterbalance to all the sweet flavors.
More than medium mouthfeel. Thick, sticky, and creamy texture. Tastes expand the longer each sip is held in the mouth. No bitterness, other than the spice note from the cinnamon. Quiet carbonation. Higher ABV% is obvious but more of a shimmer than a burn.
Slow sipping dessert porter with a rich flavor blend.

Space Goggles pours a very dark brown, almost black, color with little head. The aroma has big notes of almonds. The flavor has a sweet, ice cream note, lots of vanilla, and lots of almond mixed in. Thick but flat feel. Overall, a big, lovely porter, with lots and lots of almond flavors.

Space Goggles! My last bottle from this (spring?) release. The 750ML bottle shouldn’t have lingered this long, though I’ve had it before. Split with my wife.
The pour is dark black with a cola head, fizzing & short-lived. Surprisingly little nose: touch of nuts & cocoa.
Space Goggles 2021 is a different beast than the 2020 version. This is more of a nut stout: the sac is heavy with the nut. Almonds plus cinnamon have conspired to drown the alleged vanilla & cocoa & ice cream. And a cinnamon/nut stout is not something I’d choose to put in my creamed corn hole.
Overall this isn’t good. The 2020 was sublime. This is sub-mediocre.

Poured into a snifter, very little head, dark brown but not black in color. Smells like a roasty stout with chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and some wood tannin. As it warmed got all of the flavors the smell indicated with some addition of a sweet nutty flavor like maple sugar coated walnut. Feel is medium thick with fine prickly carbonation and a little alcohol warming that suggests a big ABV.

Tan head. Thick brown nearing black color. When you pour it you can see the difference with it being brewed with maple sap instead of water.
Maple, cinnamon, vanilla, and fudge. Thick, pastry stout. I get the almonds, I feel they add to the thickness. This is a royal dessert stout. Forager nailed this one. Everything is so balanced, nothing dominating. Wow.
