Collaboration with Fair State Brewing Cooperative, BlackStack Brewing and Modist Brewing Company
We got together with our friends from Fair State, Blackstack and Modist over Zoom to collaborate from home on a series of beer. This beastly Imperial Stout was aged on cashews, peanuts, macadamia nuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, coconut, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans and cinnamon. Woah that's nutty.

An aggressive pour from a 750 ml can yielded a 1/2" khaki head on top of a dark brown but not quite black body. Zero lacing or head retention.
Letting it warm opened up the aromas of pecan, chocolate roasted malts and alcohol.
Taste is reminiscent of Amaretto, boozy and nutty with pecan up front, a little coconut, mixed nuts and booze.
Minimal carbonation with a thick mouthfeel.
Overall pretty good but not very complex. ABV is evident and it is pretty one dimensional.

Crowler. Tan head. Fades. Black color. Thiccc boi.
This one may be too much pastry for me. Syrupy sweet, cake batter. Coconut, fudge, cinnamon, and hazelnuts show. All kind of other nuts likely show. The abv doesn’t show, but it sinks in after 10 oz or so. A pint of this is tough to drink. Great flavors, great beer, just a lot to handle.
