Honeyberry Pie is a fruited bier de coupage. We took a portion of mixed culture saison and blended it onto second use honeyberries and spontaneous lambic. A short contact time with the fruit allowed for a gentle pick up of flavors similar to blackberries, blueberries and red raspberries. Honeyberry Pie was bottle conditioned with Minnesota wildflower honey until its release. Enjoy this lively ale on a picnic table while playing cards

Thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml capped bottle into a BBT snifter. Shared with schen9303.
Stunning red color. Nice, slick legs. Nose is funky red fruit. I get aromas of raspberry, blackberry, and strawberry. Seedy. Foamy with a distinct straw and oak presence. Beer opens puckeringly tart. Seedy raspberry and blackberry mixed with an overripe red fruit puree. Funk appears as I get used to the tartness. Hints of band-aid, straw, and wood. Acidic throughout. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively on the palate and aggressive and sparkling going down. Long, lingering, filmy aftertaste.
I understand the American Lambic movement but this isn't close to traditional fruited lambic. Way too tart and acidic. Real rough around the edges.
