Thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml capped bottle into a Founders snifter. Shared with schen9303.
Pours a dark amber. Really nice color. No lace, barely any carbonation at all. Nice thin legs cling to the glass. Nose reminds me of a Oud Bruin. I get hints of tart cherry, oak, dank raspberry, and huge vinous notes. Some overtones of vinegar as well. Aromatic and robust. Beer opens nearly flat. I get notes of tart cherry, raspberry puree, and oak, and red wine grapes. Vinegar, anise, and currant in the middle. Sweet and tart soy sauce towards the end with loads more tart grape skin, tart cherry pit, and vinegar. Sour aftertaste. Body is light to medium with almost no carbonation. Slick on the palate and goes down puckering with a long, lingering aftertaste.
I want this to be more carbonated. As is, I can see the appeal but I'm not on board.
