Directionless and Drifting is a coolshipped spontaneous saison style, which fermented in neutral Chateau Montelena wine barrels for many moons. Aromas of fresh peeled cedar bark, apple blossom honeycomb, sweet orange peel, pink grapefruit zest and autumn Lake Superior shoreline. Flavors are mild salinity backed by bittersweet grapefruit juice, warming oak tannin with a dry lasting finish. Bottle conditioned with raw Minnesota goldenrod honey. Pair this complex ale with homemade sweet and sour chicken over wild rice pilaf.
