“This double barreled English Barleywine is a collaboration with our friend and West Coast King, Kyle from Horus Aged Ales. We blended small format barrels from our Horus Barleywine collaboration with small format barrels of our Kent The Otter base into a Pedro Ximénez Sherry barrel. Total time in barrels was 33 months. Layers of Rustic oak, leather, dried figs, rum raisins, coffee, molasses, cocoa powder and tobacco waft from this double barrel treat.”


Bottle. Tan head that fades. Dark brown, black color. Tobacco, leather, molasses, heavy char, plums, raisins, dried apples, figs. The sherry finish shows and adds a fun complex layer. Dessert like sherry meets BW. Bourbon, oak, rye spice. Fudge, vanilla. Very thick and rich. One of my favorites for foragerfest 9th anniversary.
