Big 750ML bottle with gold wax & vertical white lettering. Split with the woman sitting to my right.
Black, & in keeping with the syrup motif, flat as the Earth. Smells big.
Syzurpa means ‘supremely sweet’ in Latin (no, look it up!). And it is. I’m going to be sweating sugar tonight. The barrels are muted by the sugar & malts. Big, chewy, huge. Half a bomber is too much.
This is the rare Forager stout that’s wide of the mark. It’s too sweet & lacking any depth or subtlety. You can’t miss at the prices they charge. Decent enough.
