Trent 17/7 2025. 33 cl paper-wrapped bottle from Edeka, Ossenreyerstraße, Stralsund. A patient ox looking calmly at me from the wrapping-paper.
Pours opaque unclear golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty and yeasty odor mingling with a tart, citric scent with a touch of something spicy. Sweet pale malts and a rustic cellar scent. Citrus and lemon. Black pepper.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger tart, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is tart and a little sharp. Finish is dry.
I do not know what makes this Belgian rustic beer especially Baltic. But it is a nice Saison.

Look: straw-colored with a massive white foam head
Smell: yeast and funk, a little bit of malt, some floral notes
Taste: mild Saison flavor, if one likes the idea of some funk in their beer but is intimidated by the Belgians this is a good choice. Personally, I like the mildness compared to say a Saison Du Pont.
Feel: prickly

L.
-pours a cloudy golden-orange with a medium,foamy,offwhite head
-medium carbonation visible
S:
-Dextrose,wheaty,doughy,bananas,herbs,papaya
T:
-herbs,grassy,spicy,yeast sweetness,wheat
-medium to high bitterniss for the style
F:
-medium to high carbonation
-light to medium body
-no alcohol detectable
O:
Despite the 8.5% Alc. it's a pretty easy-drinking Saison/Farmhouse ale.
A bit simple on the tongue, but what it does it does well.
