A typical quad, orange-yellowish in color with ok head and lacing. Aromas of malt and light spice. Taste is good, with pepper, sweet malt, barnyard essences and such. Finish is cool and overall a decent quad at 9.50%

The beer poured a seethru orange body with minimal head and lace. Has this slightly boozy and funky peppery spice that I haven't really picked up in a Belgian style beer before and also a touch of fruit sweetness (not tropical nor candi sugar). Medium and sticky bodied with a bit of a juicy/plush feel and a clove/pepper like spicy dryness. Beer is only slightly off balanced as bits of yeast/wheat twang and star anise and fruits (more like apple and banana than tropical) come through but there's a slight medicinal vibe and the booze really creeps through in finish. Personally, I wouldn't call this a quad but it's an interesting ale with noticeable Belgian characteristics.
