16 oz can, about 3 weeks old at this point
Hops: Pekko, BRU-1 (never heard of either of them)
This was pretty nice. They've been releasing a lot of IPAs lately with rotating hops and this is probably not quite as good as the others I've had, but maybe it's the hop selection.

I'm a big fan of Commonwealth beers, but this one is a dud. From a 2-week-old can, pours a somewhat murky orange. Big head and good lacing. Smell is initially very fruity, with kiwi and passionfruit and a kind of general hop candy note. But it is quickly overwhelmed by off-notes, maybe diacetyl. Taste is dominated by off flavors. Drinkable, but barely.

Made with Pekko and BRU-1 hops! Pekko hops are named for a mythological Finnish God of farming and this coupled with the beer’s huge candy nose and smooth citrus finish was the muse inspiring the namesake of the poetic epic, Kalevala.
