L: Poured from a crowler to a pint glass. Had a medium brown color and a thick, opaque, almost chocolate milk-like consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing here.
S: A sweet aroma of chocolate, vanilla, malt, and nuts.
T: Tasted of a good amount of vanilla (more than expected), lots of milk chocolate (the dominant force here), a nutty quality (hazelnuts), a bit of malt (not a big factor, but present), a little bit of wood, and a hint of char. An interesting flavor that gets better as you go along. The char is jarring at first, but it settles down. Pretty tasty.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: An interesting beer all around. Worth a try.

The beer pours very little head and it's very hard to tell what color it is because of how little comes up. The beer itself is a dark chocolate black that has no brown to it whatsoever. It looks pretty nice with a milky texture.
The smell is good. It has a strong and stringent bittersweet vanilla note that mixes well with the more sweet cocoa nibs. The sweeter hazelnut smell comes out in the finish.
The taste is good even though it is very sweet. The taste has a strong hazelnut note and a slightly bitter but sweet cocoa note following it. It finishes with a tangy vanilla note and cocoa note.
The feel is good. It has a heavy body with a very creamy texture to it. There is very little carbonation to it.
Overall, it's good beer with a lot of flavors that complement each other well.

Poured moderately hard from a can into a snifter glass, resulting in a thin layer of head that immediately faded. Dark coffee brown color. Smells pleasantly of hazelnut. Taste is a background of milk stout with slightly sweet hazelnut followed by sweet but faint vanilla. A bit heavier than medium bodied, and a little bit syrupy. Light/moderate carbonation. Another excellent stout from Commonwealth, just wish they weren't so darn expensive.
