Poured moderately hard from a tall can into a snifter glass, coming out super thick and almost black. Almost no head at first, but then a finger of light brown head formed before slowly fading to a heavy ring. Totally opaque black/brown color. The smell is pretty subtle, a bit of milk stout and chocolate. Excellent taste with roasty milk stout and chocolate forward, followed by a dash of heat at the end. Almost thick bodied and pretty smooth with just a little bit of carbonation. Extremely good Mexican hot chocolate style stout that doesn't push the heat too much.

Poured from the can into a snifter glass.
Deep dark black walnut body, nearly midnight, with an excellent dark mocha collar. Not much head creation, and a bit of a slick top but with a big presence visually.
Light sensing nose. Faint touches of light roasted malt, and a hair of chile like heat. Not much sensing cocoa bean quality, but a little bit that seems more flour like in aroma.
Fairly straightforward palate. Flavors on first sip are a light but with a husky bean like quality of chocolate, followed by a real nice pepper warmth. Finish has a nice milky coating but with a bigger flavor of dark chocolate. Very mild sensing heat as well on the finish which is a nice contrast to the chocolate angle for balance.
A pretty solid big stout.

L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a deep, dark mahogany brown color and a thick consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Below average lacing.
S: An enticing aroma of chocolate, cream, malt, chili peppers, vanilla, and wood.
T: Tasted of a bit of cream (not a huge component), a fair amount of ancho chili peppers (not too much, though), a bit of oak, some malt (present throughout), and milk chocolate. A solidly well-balanced flavor. Some chili pepper-infused stouts go overboard with the heat, but that's not the case here. There's a good balance with chocolate and chilis.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a super smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A likable, well made stout. Drinkable.
