L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a medium brown color and a mostly cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, off white, somewhat long-lasting head. Below average lacing.
S: A decent, but not spectacular, aroma of dark fruit, wood, malt, caramel, coffee, and vanilla.
T: Tasted of a tinge of caramel (sweet, but needed more), a whole lot of wood (cedar, in particular), a hint of vanilla, light coffee notes (less than expected), some malt (present throughout), and a bit of dark fruit (raisins, in particular). This is kind of a thin flavor. The elements are there, but there simply aren't powerful enough.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth and dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven beer. It has bright spots, but isn't one of Commonwealth's best.
