Commonwealth Brewing Dance Battle Double IPA is sweet, smooth, and citrusy.
From a one-pint can, Battle Dance poured a cloudy yellow color just like grapefruit juice. It left almost no lace on the glass. The aroma was a fruit bomb dominated by mango and lemon. The flavor was slightly bitter citrus, like grapefruit rind, with a sweet finish. The feel was thin. It was oddly refreshing for a double IPA with very little left behind.
Overall, Bottle Dance was delicious and fun to drink but a bit thin and sweet for the style.

L: Poured from a growler to a snifter glass. Had a pale yellow color and an extremely cloudy consistency There was a quarter inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Average lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of dank hops, citrus fruit, malt, peaches, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (mostly in the finish - a subtle presence), a bit of tropical fruit (passion fruit, in particular), a good shot of dank hops (just enough to make it interesting, but not obtrusive), some peaches, and a decent bit citrus fruit (orange, especially). A fruity and likable flavor. A good mix of fruity and dank.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth and creamy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A rock solid NE IPA. Drinkable.
