L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had a bright yellow color and an extremely cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.
S: A sweet, light, and fruity aroma of citrus fruit, peaches, hops, malt, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of an average amount of hops (just about right for the style), a good shot of peaches (pretty sweet stuff), a decent amount of tropical fruit (pineapple, in particular), light malt notes (mostly in the finish; not a big factor), and lots of citrus fruit (lemon and orange). This is a super fruity, sweet, and well-balanced flavor. Tasty stuff.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth and creamy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A very well made and easy to drink NE IPA. Drinkable.

This is a custard-looking beer with its head acting as a smoothed out dollup of whipped cream. A mountain of lace drops to a valley that circumnavigates the glass.
The nose has a light sweetness that has accompanied the NE NIPAs I've had today. There's a peach and a pineapple/orange note that make up the main scent. The Montueka isn't obvious here, but a light coconut cream aroma comes to me when I take a long, slow whiff of the beer.
Taste starts with a mildly tart citrus-like note of lemon or lime. The beer has a smoothness and mild sweetness to it. Lactose isn't mentioned, so I doubt it is used, but the beer has of its a couple characteristics. The back of the beer has a bit more raw green bitterness sneaking in. This is where the flavors get a bit jumbled with the sweet, tart, and bitter fighting for the same taste buds, it seems.
So overall, it opens up ok, gets a little sweet for my tastes, and then gets a tad jumbled.

Uglier than most New England IPAs. Pours aa opaque brownish yellow with a big white mossey head. Has a great tropical fruit aroma with hints of pepper and herbal hoppiness. A smooth medium bodied beer that sharpens slightly in the finish. Very hoppy with tastes of herbal and piney/resinous hops with the citrusy flavors just hidden behind. Even some faint sweetness on the lips.
