A: The beer is hazy pale yellow in color and has some hints of amber hues along with a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of gooseberries and rye are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of green grapes. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an interesting pale ale that has contrasting aromas/flavors of fruit and spicy rye.

Bit of a gush from the can, pours a hazy dark yellow-orange with a frothy 3" head that slowly settles, good lacing. Nose is bright with resinous hops, sap, maybe some spice from the rye and the Hallertau; still, the Citra character pretty much dominates. Flavor is more muted - the sappiness of the hops is blanketed by the sweeter (rye?) notes, leaving this kind of muddied overall; the finish has some alcohol bite to it as well, which is surprising at 5.4%. Mouthfeel is full, carbonation solid. Feels like it's less than the sum of its parts.

Poured from a 16oz can into a shaker pint

Look: Crystal clear burnt orange with a thick egg shell head

Smell: Pungent west coast hopes with notes of pine and flowers.

Taste: Pine hits the attack with a body of spicy rye and whole wheat malt to mellow out the bitter. Finish is bone dry with noble hop notes.

Feel: Crisp and clean. Spicy and prickly on the tongue. Solid carbonation. No alcohol. Dry finish.

Overall: A solid rye pale. As advertised here.
