L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, tan-colored, creamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Average lacing.
S: An extremely enticing aroma of chocolate, bourbon, wood, spices, vanilla, coffee, and malt.
T: Tasted of a bit of spices (cinnamon, in particular), a good shot of chocolate (quite sweet; always nice), some malt (present throughout, though subtle), a good bit of coffee (a warming presence), a tinge of vanilla (kind of fleeting), and some bourbon (and its barrel). This is a complex, slightly aggressive, very enjoyable flavor.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a super smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: An excellent and well made stout. Drinkable.

Poured from a can into a pint glass.
Appearance: Nearly black, with a small and quickly vanishing light brown head.
Smell: Bourbon barrel, semisweet chocolate, a bit of coffee.
Taste: A thick mix of dark chocolate, coffee, bourbon, roasted grain, vanilla. It's very good, but it almost starts to cloy a bit after a few sips.
Feel: Very viscous and oily. Light carb.

Poured moderately hard from a tall can into a snifter glass, forming a bit of brown head on a deep black/brown body before quickly fading to a tiny ring of lacing. Smell is gentle bourbon, even resembles Basil Hayden's since I know what that's like. Taste is an awesome mixture of bourbon and chocolate, with hints of cinnamon and vanilla, but that's only really identifiable from the description. Definitely sweet, but just shy of too-sweet. Medium bodied and oily with minimal carbonation. Another awesome stout from Commonwealth!
