L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a murky brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, off white head that quickly dissipated. An average amount of lacing.
S: A solid aroma of malt, dark fruit, caramel, booze, and hops.
T: Tasted of a decent bit of bourbon (and its accompanying barrel), some caramel notes (a subtle sweetness), a tinge of hops (less than expected, but present), a lot of malt (a dominant ingredient, but not obnoxiously so), and a good shot of dark fruit (figs, in particular). This is a well-balanced, focused and easy to like flavor. Quite tasty.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A generally well done and likable flavor. Worth a try.
