From notes:
The beer pours no head. The beer itself is a very dark chocolate brown that looks black but brown on the edges where it touches the glass. It looks pretty nice.
The smell is pretty good. It has a strong fudge note upfront with a sweet hazelnut note around the edges in the middle while the cinnamon is more out. The Vietnamese coffee rides along the fudge notes.
The taste is really good and sort of follows the notes in the smell. The beer starts with a sweet milk chocolate note mixed in with cinnamon before the more bitter coffee notes come out in the finish. The cinnamon continues throughout it all.
The beer feels good. It has a heavy body with a milky texture. There is very little carbonation and the finish is slightly dry and sticky.
Overall, this was a delicious beer worth getting.

2022 vintage; drank 3/30/23 @ Pokemon Communion.

Black/brown appearance.

Small tan head; almost no lace.

Cinnamon, chocolate, hazelnut, light roast coffee bean & booze heat notes in the nose.

Thick, sticky mouthfeel.

Cinnamon & hazelnut flavors up front; chocolate & light roast coffee bean flavors. Booze heat emerged as this warmed.

A nice pastry stout.

Poured moderately hard from a 500 mL bottle into a snifter glass resulting in basically no head. Very dark brown color that's totally opaque. The smell is a delicious mixture of sweet coffee and cinnamon. The taste follows with sweet coffee up front with some chocolate, followed by a strong cinnamon taste at the end. Cinnamon heat lingers, but in a good way. Definitely has some alcohol heat, but it doesn't scream 12.2%. medium bodied with very light carbonation. An excellent dessert stout that doesn't overpower with coffee.
