The beer pours very little head and what does come out is a dark brown and bubbly head that dissipates very quickly. The beer itself is a dark chocolate brown that looks like very nice. It has a melted syrup like texture.
The smell is really sweet. It has a slight alcohol note to it in the finish. The upfront smell is the whiskey and bourbon.
The taste is delicious. It has a nice mixture of the cacao bits and toffee notes in the beginning alongside the smoother macadamia. The toffee notes are fairly subdued, which works perfectly, the cacao notes. The vanilla is also pretty light and comes out at about the same time as the bourbon and whiskey notes. Interestingly enough, the coconut is pretty mute and hard to find. It comes out a little in the finish but gets lost in the barrel notes and light alcohol note.
The feel is really good. It has a silk texture alongside a heavy body. There isn't much carbonation to speak of. There is a slight alcohol burn.
Overall, a fairly indulgent beer worth getting and having during the colder days, especially if it's snowing outside.
