L: Pours dark black, thick and opaque. Forms a moderate, rich dark caramel head which fades quickly. Trace of bubbles in the lacing around the edge of the snifter with a placid surface. Held to the light, an opaque black.
S: Bourbon, oak, vanilla, and cacao nibs on the nose. Loads of dark chocolate. Bottle says orange, hard to detect.
T: Plenty of bourbon barrel up front. Oak, vanilla both feature prominently. Dark chocolate, hint of orange, some warmth in the finish. Fairly sweet.
F: Full-bodied. Thick, viscous, velvet mouthfeel. Heavy on the tongue. No appreciable carbonation.
O: It's a decadent, fairly sweet pastry stout. Certainly worth a try.

The beer pours a nice brown and bubbly head that dissipates quickly while the beer itself is as very dark chocolate brown whose texture resembles more like coffe.
The beer smell is very good. It has a strong dark chocolate note upfront mixed in with the vanilla beans. There isn't much of the orange though it comes out in the end.
The taste has similar notes as the smell but the notes come out more and better than in the smell. The flavor comes out more as a cocoa note with a stringent vanilla note and the orange notes come out more in the finish.
The feel is good. It has a heavy body and smooth texture to it. It finishes dry but a little sticky as well.
Overall, another delicious variant from Commonwealth worth getting if you can. It isn't done crazy but unique enough to be interesting.
