From older notes:

Mostly clear peachy gold. Capped with lemon-white creamy, foamy head of moderate retention. Very clean aroma, a bit of sweet citrus at first. This dissipates and it is soon mostly bready to grassy. Pretty grassy taste, rindy finish, bready aftertaste. Medium in body with decent amount of tingly carbonation.

A better Miller Lite. Not a good beer at all. However I am not a fan of the style, so a grain of salt is needed. Bready, malty mess with not much in flavor.

Appearance: Clean golden with bone white suds. Lovely loopy lacing, too.

Aroma: Bready malts, lightly toasty with a hint of citrus hops. Pleasant.

Taste: Sweet with a really well-done balance between bread malt flavor and a light hoppy finish. Body is light making this one a solid session brew for any season. Easy to enjoy.

12 oz bottle. Pours with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of citrusy, grassy hops and bready malt. Body is medium and crisp. Herbal, citrusy, grassy hops, pale malt and ripe fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long and dry. Good session brew.

Boulevard Brewing Co. "Tasting Room Blonde Ale"
12 oz. brown glass bottle, "BEST BY 09/04/15"

Tasting Room Blond delivers a solid, sweetish and malty ale that's livened by a bright apple-like fruitiness. It's crystal clear and deep golden in color beneath a frothy head of white. The nose is clean and grainy-sweet with some background herbal hops. In the flavor the malt has a slight touch of toastiness to it, and a subtly tart apple and citrusy fruitiness off-sets that. It remains sweetish but it's more grainy. A firm bitterness anchors it, and grassy and herbal hops help to balance it. Apart from the fact that it's a bit stronger (5.8% abv) and fuller bodied than most, it remains a fairly basic blonde ale. The interesting apple/lemon-like fruitiness however lends it a touch of uniqueness.

A good amount of carbonation in the appearance. Very laid-back in its flavor, with no noticeable flaws in it. I'm not a huge fan in blonde ales, but this is a great example of the style.

Look: One finger of head dissipates quickly. Clear and pale blonde. Light carbonation.

Smell: Bright and tropical fruity malts up front. A little biscuity too.

Taste: Bright malts, some residual sugar up front. Really assaults the front of the tongue with all that sweetness. Slight grassy bitterness on the back end.

Feel: Light bodied. Not dry at all. Not much carbonation.

Overall: Solid little blonde. I've had so many boring blonde's in the past that I wasn't really expecting anything from this. Definitely drinks more like a Lager. Bright malts, low to no hop presence, but this one has probably a lighter body than most lagers. I'm diggin' it.

A simplistic but well made blonde ale, part if the tasting room series. For some reason I thought this series was meant to be a way to experiment and try new radical stuff, I know their strange but highly acclaimed Radler came out of this program. It baffles me then how a straight up blonde is experimental in any way. Unless there is something going on here that my senses are numb too, it's as basic as blondes can be. I suppose there is a bit more of a hop element than the style usually offers, but nothing way outside the box, that's for sure. That said, it's a delicious, refreshing, and very well made example of the style, with a really delicate and fresh malt flavor, a bright mouthfeel, and a quick finish. Great in this Kansas City humidity. I suppose every brewery has to have a beer like this these days, and this is a good one, but it always look for a bit more out of this tasting room series...

Needed a review. Fine for the style but not a wow beer in any dimension for me. It is just hard to make a simple style like a blonde stand out in my mind.

Hazy, pale, and golden...the aroma is of lightly toasted wheat bread. Not much of a hop aroma. The taste is malt, light, and just slightly sweet. Hops for balance. Refreshing and drinkable. Approachable.

Part of the 12 pack sampler. Tastes more like a weak IPA than a blonde ale. Pours golden brown with a thick white head. Sweet hoppy smell and taste. Lots of malt. Dry finish. Leaves a taste on the tongue that I can't wrap my finger around. I myself like Shiners Blonde Ale but this isn't real bad. Can't say I'll ever buy it again though.

This is a very easy and well balanced blonde ale.....I wish it were a tad hotter outside....would make this even better. The beer poured a golden clear with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent is a touch citrusy. The taste is a tinge sweet, with touches of citrus....and a good bitter balance. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall I really like this beer.

A pretty standard ale. Biscuity bready taste, mouthfeel is full and bready which rides into the carbonation and hops which blend with the biscuity breadiness to synergize into a sort of spiced feel.

Not a bad beer, drinkable, but I had it out of a 12 pack sampler and I would never buy this on its own. I like a bigger beer with more flavors that pop.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, "best by" date 7-4-15.

APPEARANCE: pours a somewhat cloudy, golden color with one-finger, white head that slowly dissipated until a thin, unbroken layer of bubbles remained, significant lacing, slightly higher than average carbonation.

SMELL: the nose is subtle bread and citrus.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose, bread and citrus, the hop profile is very mild, the malt bill also understated.

PALATE: medium body and carbonation.

OVERALL: this beer is inoffensive and could be enjoyed by just about anyone who likes beer but, there are better beers to be had so I would probably not seek this out again.

Poured out a clear, golden-yellow color with a small, white head. It smelled of citrus with notes of pine and toasted caramel. Sweet caramel taste with a subtle piney bitterness. A light to medium bodied ale.

The people at Boulevard are cocksuckers. I got this beer as a part of a sampler twelve pack with both a tasting room Red IPA and this Blonde Ale. Both come in at 5.8% ABV. The pack said best by 5-22-15 so it is quite fresh. I poured into a claret glass.

Look: A glorious deep amber hue with a frothy off white head. I looks surprisingly like an amber ale even though it's a blonde ale.

Smell: A nice bready sweet malt aroma accompanies citrusy hop notes.

Taste: Nice and crisp grassy hops upfront with a slightly sweet malt character. It is quite crisp tasting with a surprisingly bold flavor for a blonde.

Feel: Medium bodied and smooth mouthfeel with a crisp and delightful finish. Very drinkable.

Overall: This beer is surprisingly satisfying and delicious! I expected something a bit lighter and dryer but it is definitely a winner.
