12oz bottle. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of chocolate, toffee, caramel and sweet cream. Smooth chocolate taste with creaminess, caramel and toffee.

Opaque black color with a substantial tan head with good retention and some very nice lacing. The aroma is dark roasted malt with notes of dark chocolate and some lactose sweetness.
The taste is also dark chocolate and lactose with a hint of coffee and some floral hops in the finish. The body is medium/full, moderate carbonation, very smooth and drinkable.
Altogether, this is a tasty and enjoyable brew, very nice.

I was in the midst of New Coup de Boule(vard) Sunday (Week 663) when I ran out of steam at about the same time as I was running out of time as I was coming up on my bedtime. I want to try & finish up this adventure in the near future, continuing with this one.
From the bottle: "12 IBUs".
I Pop!ped the cap & conducted a nice, slow, gentle pour into the awaiting glass. Once it was sufficiently decanted, I utilized a vigorous in-glass swirl to raise two-plus fingers of foamy, deep-tan/light-brown head with decent retention. Color was Very Dark Brown to Black/Opaque(SRM = > 34, < 44) with NE-quality clarity & mahogany highlights. Nose had a milk chocolate sweetness and a light smokiness. Mouthfeel was on the thin side, not watery, but not much beyond it. The taste was quite sweet, very chocolaty, but it lacked depth. It was kind of a one-trick pony in that there just did not seem to be anything beyond the unrelenting chocolaty sweetness. Finish was sweet, of course. This was a bit of a swing & a miss, IMHO. It lacked the sort of depth or Ooomph! that would have made it memorable.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of roasted malts, lactose, light chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, some lactose, hints of sugar. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent and easy drinking beer.

Picked up a single from Happy Valley BevMo 3-18-17 for $2.49. Bottled on 09/26/16 best by 23FEB2017 but stored in the beer fridge since purchase.
Beer pour black with a nice tan head that has some great hand time.
Nose is light roasted malts with a hint of lactose.
Taste is well balanced between the roastiness, the sugar, and the hops to result in a nice sipping beer.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and pretty smooth.
Overall a nice representation of the style, definitely worthy of a shot.

Pours a black color. One inch head of an off-tan color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of sweet malt, chocolate, slight roasted malt, lactose, hint of spicy hops, and a hint of alcohol. Fits the style of a Milk / Sweet Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, chocolate, slight roasted malt, hint of pale malt, hint of lactose, and a hint of spicy hops. Overall, decent appearance, good aroma, body, and blend.
