First brewed in May of 2016 and tweaked for Beer Hall service again in September of 2017, Tasting Room – Dry-Hopped Helles leaves the brewery for the first time after garnering tons of fans and becoming an end of day favorite for Boulevardians. A fairly traditional interpretation of a German-style Helles (literally translated: pale in color), European pilsner and Munich malt combine with Hallertau Blanc (bittering), Saaz (flavor/aroma) and Mandarina Bavaria (flavor/aroma & dry-hopping) to create an incredibly soft, light bodied pale lager that boasts flavors of sweet, honey-like malt balanced by herbal, spicy, fruity hop notes suggestive of subtle citrus and tangerine. Quite dry, Tasting Room – Dry-Hopped Helles begs for another sip and proves difficult to set down.

Pale yellow body; nice carbonation seen rising; thick, sticky, white head. Bread crust aroma; slight sweetness; a little herbal character. Light malt flavor; well-balanced bitterness offsetting the sweetness; suggestions of mild black pepper. Medium body; crisp and clean; mostly dry finish.
This beer drinks easily and satisfies the palate with definite presence of gentle malts and a bold but not aggressive hop presence.

Pours a clear yellow with a finger of white head. Head retention is okay with good lacing left behind. Aroma is pine, resin, and citrus hops, with an emphasis on the bitter, biting pine and resin notes. Slight dose of yeast, and biscuit malts behind. Flavor profile is clean, hitting notes of pine, resin, and citrus, with yeast, and biscuit malts behind. Nice smoothness in the flavor profile that doesn't carry much bitterness until the finish. Mouth feel is medium in thickness, with a feeling that falls just shy of crisp. Overall, hop notes don't seem well refined in the aroma, but are delivered well and balanced in the flavor profile. Although it's a touch shy of being crisp, it does make for a refreshing beer.
