Pale yellow with ample head and patchy, continental plate-like lacing. Bold grass, citrus, sea salt and chlorine aroma. Light malt body with plenty of lemon and fresh cut grass. Plenty of herbal hop bitterness. Light, effervescent body. Slightly grainy texture. Nice example of the style. Above average American attempt.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, "best by" date "05AUG2018".
APPEARANCE: pours a cloudy, light, golden color with one-finger white head that slowly dissipated until a thin, unbroken layer of small bubbles remained, there is heavy lacing on the glass, medium carbonation.
SMELL: bread, honey and white crackers.
TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially sweet honey and bread then white crackers.
PALATE: light bodied and medium carbonation.
OVERALL: this is a very good beer, I enjoyed this and would buy again no problem, this is a style I often enjoy when my palate is burned out on IPA's, I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the style.

Solid take on a German Helles lager here. It's a bit spicy on the finish, thanks to the dry-hop technique, but it's still pretty light and very drinkable at 5.6% ABV. One of the better Helles beers in my area is the Tivoli Brewing Company's version, and this stacks up very well to that one. I'm a fan of Boulevard's new Tasting Room series in general, as it allows them to try some new styles, and living in their distribution area I can try them in the 12-pack variety packs. This is a good way for them to expand their offerings and see if something should join the year-round lineup.

I was visiting with a former student in the take-out section of 551 West, where she works as a counter clerk, when she tells me that she has some singles with which she was unfamiliar & knowing my propensity to buy such things, she suggested my taking a look. This was one of them & with it, I set forth on a new Coup de Boule adventure, this being my fourth of the current go-'round!
From the bottle: "German-style Lager"; Release 001 Year 2018"; "35 IBUs".
I began by Pop!ping the cap & I followed this with a slow, gentle pour into the awaiting glass. Once accomplished, a vigorous in-glass swirl raised just under three fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head that left behind some nice lacing as it slowly fell. Color was a gorgeous Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 -5) with NE-quality clarity, enticing The Gelt Gang of Croesus, Mammon & Midas to rouse themselves from my couch where they were watching World Cup 2018 on TV to come in the kitchen for a taste. Nose was kind of sweet, very malty, kind of bready-leaning with a light grassiness. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium, solid for a Lager. The taste was actually a bit more grassy and bitter than the nose had led me to expect. This was a really good interpretation of the style. Now, if they would just put it in CANs … Finish was semi-dry and very refreshing. Man, it was going down easy on a breezy, sunny Spring day! Mmm.

We picked up this beer in Kansas City. It is a hazy, golden beer with a thin hwhite head. The aroma is clean and lightly hoppy, with a malt undertone. The taste is clean, with more malt and a dryness in the mid taste that is accentuated by the bitterness. Medium in body and very enjoyable.

A good beer for a warm summer day. Goes down smooth with just the right amount of bitter aftertaste. The delicious taste stays with your palate for awhile.

12oz bottle. Poured out a light golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of citrus and toasted caramel. Nice sweet caramel flavor with citrusy/piney bitterness.
