done in collaboration with weldwerks, who has become famous for this sort of thing. a juicy hazy ipa, and a good one, but this, more than anything, makes me long for the days when boulevard made really good ipas of the other type, i miss beers like single wide and double wide, gone are the days... seems like now everyone has made one of these, and its no surprise that this is good with these two involved in it, but it just seems like another brew thrown to the trend, like, nobody is really passionate about this, its just a beer to sell. i dont know, maybe thats a harsh and personal judgement. the beer is tasty, awfully light in color and feel for its strength, and not cloudy enough to be heavy or gross looking, it still appears pretty well refined. big mango and peach juice notes up front, a bit of an orange peel zestiness, and a cantaloupe and tropical fruity wine thing in the finish, very hoppy all the way through, really restrained bitterness, and great carbonation which is uplifting here, making this way more drinkable than it should be! considering this was made in august i think, its holding up really well too, the hops still seem crazy fresh, and there is no fade to bitterness happening at all like does with so many of these. quality beer, even if its just another one of these. my homie calls them binary, in that they are either good or bad, without differentiation other than that. while i agree with the sentiment, im not sure i agree entirely, this is better than most.
