L: Had this beer on-tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook, poured into a snifter glass. Had a deep, dark brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a 3/4", foamy, off white, long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.

S: A big, bracing aroma of maple syrup, malt, booze, caramel, and molasses.

T: Tasted of a decent amount of malt (present throughout), a tinge of molasses (lingers around the edges), some caramel notes, a ton of maple syrup (a dominant ingredient), and a lot of bourbon and whiskey. A incredibly powerful, complex, and aggressive flavor. Yes, it is boozy as hell, but it still manages to work well. Tasty stuff.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a sharp, warm finish. Full-bodied.

O: An excellent, well made beer. Drinkable.

Pours a dark brown akin in shade to a Coca-Cola. A finger of fizzy khaki bubbles fades away quickly. Aroma is sharp and pungent notes of maple syrup, vanilla bean, oak, roasty, toasty, nutty, caramely, bready malts. Aroma starts to soften up and meld together as it warms, but it still sits firmly in "sugary", dessert territory. Alcohol becomes more apparent on the nose as it warms. Flavor profile is heavy, hitting notes of vanilla bean, caramel, maple syrup, toffee and molasses with heavy roasty, toasty, nutty, caramely malts beyond. The notes are more cohesive as it warms, forming a more dynamic, smooth dessert beer, and yet it still remains overly sugary. Alcohol is apparent between glimpses of the sugary flavors and as the flavors fade away. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a bubbly, watery front end that still and stales out on the tongue for an authentic maple syrup consistency at the finish. Overall, syrupy and sweet. It was initially served cold out of the draft, which lead for a disconbabulated experience. As it warmed, it became more cohesive and smooth, but still comes across incredibly sugary. In summation, the pancakes weren't held here. It's mash up of sugar covered carbs loading grandpa up for a productive couple hours followed by a prompt crash and hangover.
