Appearance: Pours a hazy, light lemon color with only traces of orange. A mild, bright, white head. SRM of 7. (3.75)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of vinous green grape, pear, tart berry with hints of grapefruit and pineapple citrus. Really showcases the vinous green grape and tart pear/berries. (3.75)

Flavor: Very interesting flavors of initially the green grape comes through followed by a strong woody and lemon citrus flavor. There's cedar, pine, and spices. Maybe even spearmint and cinnamon. Then the wood evolves and a green grape sweetness finishes with hints of cedar and pine emerging from the finish with lemon house clearner. Less mosaic and showcases the HBC692 well. (4.00)

Feel: Ulfiltered and slightly creamy. Moderate carbonation. Finishes fairly dry with the lingering tart green grape and wood sweetness. (3.75)

Overall: A unique IPA for sure. Lot's of green grape and cedar which is unique. Yes, there's a little bit of classic grapefruit and pine too. Sort of leans like a saison with the vinous and tart flavors. The woody component is pleasant and this drinks very well, but I would say it hides the Mosaic among the HBC692 hops which I wasn't expecting. (Final Rating: 3.85)

12oz bottle. Poured out a slightly hazy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled very piney with citrus and toasted caramel. Big piney bitterness with orange and sweet caramel.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass; bottled on 4/18/2019, best before 8/6/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, red apple, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, red apple, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grass, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, red apple, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Slight vanilla/cream notes after the finish. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish; not aggressive. Great HBC 692, Mosaic, Citra profile; but feels like the 692 has the most presence. Very vibrant, dank, earthy, and fairly juicy hop complexity; with a great clean pale/wheat malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp drying. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example as expected. No complaints.

Pours an opaque orange creamsicle color with a finger of dense, rocky white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is tangerine, papaya, guava, spicy, herbal and grassy hops with just a squeeze of bready, earthy malts beyond. There is a slight stick to it, but it's mostly sugary citrus. Flavor profile is tangerine, guava, papaya, mango, and very light herbal, lemondrop, spicy and grassy hops on the back end. Hop profile turns to a more herbal and spicy focus as the beer warms. Bready malts are ever-so-slightly apparent on the back end, but are mostly obscured by hops. Mouth feel is soft and pillowy with a well-refined effervescence. Overall, citrus out front with a light hop stickiness just beyond keep it drinking unique and refreshing.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 12oz bottle. Release 001 from year 2019. BLVDR&D pack.
