Sour ale with cucumber
Aromas of freshly picked cucumbers and a subtle, grassy sweetness cool everything down in this slightly tart, pale golden ale. Lively carbonation leads to a crisp, dry finish that inspires primo relaxation.

Not a whole lot of smell comes through, It tastes a lot more pickley than cucumbery but you can taste both. The sourness of it makes it more of a pickle beer.

Presentation: 12 oz. can with the canning and best by dates etched on bottom.
Appearance: The dense, one and a half finger head stays around for a while and leaves behind a thin foam layer and a lot of lacing that covers the entire glass. It's a hazy, bright straw color.
Smell: A strong, pleasant, fresh, vegetable aroma of cucumber fills the nose. There's some faint notes in the background of citrus peel and hay as well.
Taste: It's tart and acidic with notes of lemon and a strong fresh, cucumber flavor right away.
Mouthfeel: It's light and very refreshing with medium carbonation.
Overall: The cucumber is very strong and well executed. A very good beer but your enjoyment of it will hinge on whether you like cucumbers or not.

12 oz can. Pours light straw yellow with a medium fizzy white head that quickly goes to a light dusting that leaves little lacing.
The aroma is earthy straw malt with lactic sourness and some fruit. Cucumber comes out as it warms.
The flavor is some sweet cucumber with quite a bit of tart acidic sourness. The mouthfeel is light bodied and pretty watery.
Overall, it's interesting but I've had better cucumber beers.

A thanks to the amazing woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a pooched out 12 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of lightly salted cucumbers. Taste is the same as the aroma, dry and refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Poured from a can. Straw in color with a good sized foamy head. Smells pretty strongly of cucumber. Pretty tart but not overdone. Cucumber is the main flavor with a malty biscuit backbone. I've had cucumber in beer before but not this strongly, it seems to work pretty well though.

Canned: Feb 2020
A - Hazy golden yellow color with a thin creamy layer of white foam hanging out on top. Carbonation is moderate and steady.
S - A slight bit of funky twang with a hint of salty citrus along with cucumber hits the nose.
T - Light malt along with some earthy twang and cucumber on top and finishes with a slight bit of graininess.
M - Big medium body that's very dry on the tongue while the rest of the mouth waters.
O - Interesting but not sure I'd buy it again, though. But overall refreshing.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Clear light golden pour with thick foamy white head. Nice ring of sticky lacing.
S: Tart and cucumber... just like it's advertised.
T.F: Follows the nose. Tart without being sour. Strong cucumber/veggie and a bit of lime/citrus. Crisp and refreshing... a dash of salt at the finish leaves you close to the next sip. Light bodied and well carbonated.
O: A nicely executed cucumber sour. Very sessionable/drinkable... clean and refreshing.

12oz can, no date but there's one on the box, I think
Pours up beautifully clear with a big fluffy white head that fades down to a uniform film leaving rings of lace on the glass. Smells sour and salty, with a citrus hue, and a hint of cucumber water hiding in the back. I would describe the flavors as extremely similar to the nose, but every flavor stands out bright and at the front of the tongue. Sour, but seems more tart because of the added salt(?). The cucumber has a bit of a rancid aftertaste, but I experience that flavor with any cucumber water, so ymmv.
Very sessionable, tasty, and unique. Surprised by how much I liked this stuff, but Boulevard Brewery has always been excellent
