Much like its namesake, this beer has layers of sweet, complex flavors of coffee and cocoa that should be enjoyed with friends at the end of a meal. Aged in Soft Red Wheat barrels from our friends at Holladay Distillery and brewed with espresso from our friends at The Roasterie.

Pour is black with a dense cap of half dinger cinnamon foam. Good retention and lacing.
Nose is sweet vanilla, coffee, latte, hint of bourbon
Taste follows. A tom of vanilla upfront, followed by some subtle bourbon before moving into coffee, latte, dark chocolate.
Full, creamy body.

The pour is jet black with a beige head of frothy foam. The taste is roasted malt, espresso, cocoa, cake batter, charred barrel oak, along with hints of vanilla, molasses, & coconut. Furthermore, the 11% abv is well masked. Overall, this was another belter from Boulevard Brewing (Missouri's Best). Cheers! A (World Class)

Appearance: Pours a completely dark, black color with a strong and thick dark tan head that is heavy and lingers. SRM of 24. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong aromas of rich maple syrup, caramel, strudel, and vanilla upfront. Some baked caramel, tiramisu, bread pudding, and espresso behind it. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of rich caramel, maple, bread pudding upfront. Then tiramisu with a pronounced vanilla flavor. Then it follows with the alcohol and espresso. A lingering pastry and coffee flavor lingers balanced by a sweet bread pudding and tiramisu flavor on the finish. (4.00)
Feel: Heavier bodied, appropriate carbonation. Finish is roasted, yet sweet, Alcohol shows a bit, not overpowering. (4.00)
Overall: First try at this one. Not super into BBA or dessert beers, but had to give it a try. Boulevard is always putting out some good imperial beers. Pours beautifully. Excellent and complex flavors. Baked caramel, tiramasu, vanilla, and espresso flavors. Sweet, and shows the alcohol a bit, but each not overly so. Has a little bit of some lingering artificial vanilla/pastry flavor which is not great, but it's mild. Overall this is a good beer. Could be a lot worse for a dessert beer. Complex flavors. Smooth, and not overly sweet. Solid from Boulevard. (Rating: 3.97)

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a one finger khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, vanilla, coffee, caramel and cocoa. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, coffee, bakers chocolate, vanilla, a touch of whiskey and very light caramel. Some woody oak in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solid barrel aged coffee stout with some vanilla character to give the impression of tiramisu. The coffee and vanilla are pretty much spot-on, but the barrel and whiskey notes don't quite fit with this delicate dessert. On the other hand, they are fine for barrel aged stout. Coffee flavor is authentic and well balanced. There is a quite nice lingering toffee note in the aftertaste. A bit on the sweet side for me now as I gravitate away from dessert stouts, but not cloyingly sweet; probably dryer than the dessert, which is a good thing.
