Sometimes the most delicious things come from the simplest ingredients. In partnership with Whitman’s, one of the oldest and most popular producers of sweets, More S’mores brings the wonder of beer and the magic of a campfire treat to life in a single 16oz can. Stacks on stacks of graham cracker, roasty malt, and chocolate flavors with a toasted marshmallow finish.

16 oz can from Scrooges ($3.89) in Anderson, SC.

This is a well balanced Barrel Aged Smores Stout. The barrel aging has a clear but limited impact on the flavor allowing all the expected Smores components -- vanilla, chocolate and graham cracker notes -- to shine. It's sweet but not cloying. The aroma is less appealing and carries a suggestion of strong sweetness and too little in the way of barrel aging effects.

16oz can picked up at Big Head's Bottle Shop in Missoula, MT
Poured into a Steeplejack pint

P deep mahogany/black w/ a 2-3f khaki head
N big sweet nose of vanilla, marshmallow, and white and milk chocolate; inviting
T nice blend of roast, chocolate, and vanilla/marshmallow; tasty; maybe a touch of barrel; a bit of earthy char in the aftertaste
Mf light-med to med bodied; airy, w/ med to med-high carb; lighter and more carb than expected, but it works
O a diggable stout, imo- would have again

Pours dark chocolate in color with a quite vibrant head four fingers deep. Aroma is sweet and quite chocolate in character. Taste is most like a milk stout, light to moderate in mouthfeel and sweet. Being barrel-aged is not noticed and doesn't seem to have left any real character to the profile.

16 oz. Can
BEST BY: 19MAY2026

Poured into a chalice a pretty nice dark brown color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one finger plus tan head, which leaves a pretty nice medium-size oil slick, and some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, pretty nice chocolate/toffee, oaky, graham crackers, toasted marshmallow, vanilla, licorice. The taste is very nice malty, hoppy, very nice chocolate/toffee, oaky, graham crackers, toasted marshmallow, vanilla (sweetness), licorice. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty well, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, very nice/tasty beer.

my second pastry type beer from these guys recently, very sweet, a little thin, similar in a lot of ways to the churro one. it looks like theres a few editions of this, but im having what appears to be the more current, lower abv one, on tap at prefunk in nampa, and it looks as much like a brown ale as a stout, cola colored, short of black except maybe in the dead center, fizzy but without a lot of head, looks less viscous than this sort of thing usually does, not leggy and too rich looking or anything, sort of visually underwhelming. the nose is sweet, i get the chocolate for sure, generic sweetness that could be marshmallow, some middle malts in support, a vanilla note, molasses, maybe some lactose in this, its not quite smore to me, missing some of the graham and also the smoke element of the mallow actually being toasted, but its appealing anyway, desserty for sure. the flavor is pleasant but only in small doses, and i do get more of the graham cracker thing, crunchy and with a floral honey note, sets the chocolate up real well, and as a chocolate brown ale i like this better than as a smore stout, which i guess is to say the grain doesnt present as super roasty, like its not bold or bitter enough to balance out all the sugar in this, and it doesnt create that campfire character that is the essence of the smore of course, but i like the lightness in body and also in alcohol, and i like what the malts that are here contribute to the smore vibe also, good cocoa and caramel notes that bring up the chocolate and the graham. definitely would be curious to try the big imperial edition at some point if that comes around again, this seems almost too light for what they are going for. the sweetness is where the structure comes from, the chocolate lingers long, and its palate cotaing, teeth and tongue and all. in the context of all smore beer, which is crazy how many there really are when you stop and think about it, this one fails to distinguish itself, but its nice enough to sip on, and im thankful some of these weird boulevard beers are showing up in idaho. 8.2% abv is a cool place for this to be too.

Pours an effervescent & chill hazed chestnut with one finger of mocha colored head. Some lacing & head retention

S: Marshmallows, smoke

T: Follows the nose, some cocoa notes that leads to dryness & a little bitterness up front. Traces of barrel dryness, a little bit of oakyness, some cinnamon notes, cocoa & marshmallow & smokeyness once this beer is warmed up. Finishes a little bitter, a little cocoa dry with classic S'mores flavor

MF: Medium body, slight carbonation

Wish there was more heft & barrel presence, but drinkable enough. Way too pricey to ever buy again. The bitterness & smokey notes salvage this offering . Not forced, but not great

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of sweet, sweet chocolate, marshmallow and graham cracker. Very sweet chocolate taste with sweet marshmallow.

16oz can poured into a tulip

A- pours deep brown in color with just a hint of ruby hue, one-finger foamy khaki head reduces to a ring

S- vanilla, milk sugar, marshmallow cream, caramel, chocolate. Can't find any barrel aromas

T- sweet and malty up front with some chocolate notes. Mid-palate gives another wave of sweetness with notes of vanilla and caramel. The finish gives more chocolate and sweet vanilla. No graham cracker or barrel to be found.

M- light-medium body with moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and finish

O- this drank more like a strong ale because it was lacking any roasted notes that would have balanced it much better. This one gets cloying by the end

Boulevard should be embarrassed about this beer. Literally has the mouth feel of a Bud Light, actually less syrupy than a Bud Light even.

I shouldn’t have bought it the moment I realized it was an 8% barrel aged stout. If your BA stout is under 11%, what are you doing with your life?

This was clearly a marketing cash grab. They also clearly do not care about their customers at all if they’re charging you money for this product..

Boulevard is the Pittsburgh Pirates of brewing. They have fans because some people are local to it. They have fans because many years ago they were good for a very short period of time but now they’re just phone it in the owners are probably friends with Bob nutting. I can’t imagine being rich and continuing to try and make money from a product that you don’t care about sell it to someone that does.

Very dark translucent reddish brown with a modest tan head.and some bits of lacing.
The aroma is graham crackers, marshmallow, chocolate and oak.
The taste is sweet marshmallow, milk chocolate and graham crackers- basically liquid s'mores.
The body is full, moderate carbonation, well hidden ABV, smooth and dangerously drinkable.
Altogether, this is a little too sweet for my taste but could be really nice by a campfire on a cold fall night, definitely an after dinner dessert sipper otherwise, well done.
