Changeling is an enchanting blend of dark sour ales aged in previously used wine and whiskey barrels, and inoculated with Lactobacillus. It pours a moody, roasty brown with a foamy head of golden hues. Leading with plum and toasty malt, the flavor turns gently but unmistakably tart, with a touch of lingering caramel that sings on the long finish, creating a nice, delicate balance.

Very dark brown, almost opaque, with a massive golden brown head that retains forever with lots of sticky lacing.
The aroma is plums, red wine brown sugar and a hint of bourbon.
The taste is bourbon, plums, red wine, caramel malt with a touch of apple cider vinegar, a blend of sweet, tart and sour, very nice.
The body is medium, great carbonation, crisp yet smooth with a well hidden but appreciated ABV.
Altogether, this is a very tasty and enjoyable brew. This should go well with hearty, holiday type fare, great just to relax by a fire on a cool winter day, outstanding.

I have never seen a head dissipate so slowly when poured into a tulip glass. While waiting, a note about the nose: stone fruit and earthy.
Sipping through the foam, the balanced taste is light, subtle. Plum and malt, tart, with burnt sugar and caramel in the linger.
