I had this beer on-tap in a tulip glass at the brewery. The menu had it listed at 9% ABV when I had it.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a little dash of haze and a thin layer of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: light malt with a nice, subtle orchardey character. Consider me enticed!
Taste: sweet malt with a smooth pear flavor and a moderate bitterness for the style. There’s a little booziness here, but I am really digging the pear notes.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: while I do like the flavor of this beer, the boozy heat is just a little too much for my taste.
