definitely the most interesting beer on the menu here, its one of the only not conventional types, and they have done a nice job with it. predictably and appropriately the yeast is the driving force in it, and its quite interesting. hints of gummy bears, bubblegum, cotton candy, lots of sweet artificial fruity flavors swirling around in here, pungent, but still distinctly belgian in nature. there is a lot more grain character in here than is common in these belgian golden types, lots of body and cereal flavor. fresh and pretty bold as well, but it needs to be to stand up to this yeast, which is intensely flavored to say the least. the alcohol is well hidden for what it is, but i still felt it coming on, could definitely only drink a few of these at the most. nice carbonation but a tad short of the vibrant effervescent i like in the style. a really nice place to start in here, i think its their most creative beer they have right now too. not like most of the american made belgians, it is quite original.
