Faded strawberry juice, unfiltered and dull, with a faintly pink head that fizzes out in a flash. Something is off, suds flowed from the bottle upon opening.
The impressions of light red wine is fully present on the nose, along with sour cherry.
Dry pinot noir is all over this, with a distinct earthiness like they had a layer of soil in the cask. Mildly tart, with notes of sour cherries, raspberry, red currants. A pleasant burn, like dying embers of a fire, accompanies the earthy flavours. Despite overflowing when opened, the carbonation is present and doing it's job, keeping things light and refined, paired with medium body. Finish is dry, long, sophisticated.
Loving this fusion, they pulled it off. Loads going on, every taste seems different and brings to light something new. Have your wine-loving friends give it a try. Have it with a fresh burger or grilled chicken, maybe a hearty salad with strawberries, blue cheese, and nuts.

My review is for this entire series of beers overall. So far, I've tried the cherry, Chardonnay grape must, and perhaps one other variety that escapes me -- deep into the cherry one as I type.
Again, overall, pretty much perfect, barring the presumed, though yet to be encountered, misstep. Assuming a base sour beer with proprietary yeast, critters, aged on various fun things for a secondary fermentation in all sorts of neat stuff made from wood.
It must be said though, I'm kind of a freak for sours, so not sure how a neophyte would rate this.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
