West Coast IPA w/ Columbus, Triple Pearl, Citra Incognito, Citra & Simcoe
The latest version of our West Coast style IPA brings bright aromas of citrus waltzing into a touch of lime with a classic piney west coast finish on the dismount. This brew is off-dry and super drinkable, a testament the beloved classic style and a worthy contender for the hop crown: may they rule justly and with grace.

473 mL can, day 19 of the 2022 Toronto Brewing beer advent calendar. Dated Nov 3 2022 and served barely chilled.
Pours a hazy, translucent golden blonde colour, with nearly an inch of bubbly, soapy white suds situated atop. It dissipates within five minutes or so, leaving a half-inch ring of sponge print patterned lace stuck to the glass; a tight collar and filmy cap continue to occupy the surface. Peppery aroma, with hints of pine, cedar, grapefruit and honeydew melon.
A quality West Coast IPA - I can taste lime, passion fruit and melon early on, with grapefruit and berries coming through later. More piney and floral towards the back end, with a spicy, mildly earthy finish followed by a surprisingly dry aftertaste. Medium in body, with moderately prickly carbonation that fades early in the session; feels smooth and soft on the tongue by the end. Extremely quaffable - I could've easily enjoyed a second can right afterwards, but alas, I don't have one.
Final Grade: 4.07, an impressive A-. Moment of Clarity has such a smooth flavour profile, featuring an intriguing fusion of fruity, juicy elements that are in vivid contrast with its West Coast IPA finish. The use of Citra Incognito really intensifies that particular hop strain's flavours, contributing to the fruity forefront - but then the Columbus, Simcoe and Triple Pearl come barreling in for a spicy, piney conclusion that wraps up just as quickly as it began. A fine beer, well worth seeking out if you're in the Blood Brothers' neighbourhood - I'd buy it regularly if possible.
