Blood Brothers Brewing brings back a cherished flavour of your childhood, but without the sticky fingers, curfews, or 7PM bedtimes! We reverse-engineered the classic recipe of yore but removed the extra sugar and other nasty bits that seem unhealthy to quaff as an adult. This exacting recipe was fermented on sweet cherries and conditioned on a top secret concoction of our design, all in a low ABV session sour experiment years in the creating.

473 mL can from the LCBO; no canning date. Served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear, purplish crimson red colour, topped with one finger of foamy, pale pink-tinted head that recedes within two or three minutes' time. A creamy collar remains, surrounding a thin, filmy cap; no lace at first, but there's some deposition after each sip. Cherry juice and red Kool-Aid on the nose, with suggestions of tropical fruit (e.g. mandarin orange and pineapple); just a twinge of armpit funkiness.
The flavours are nice, especially if you're a cherry beer fan. Fairly tart at the forefront, with sour cherry and lemon soon joined by hints of pineapple and pomegranate. Relatively sugary for a kettle sour, which dulls the lactic acidity on the back end; finishes with a blend of sweet cherry juice and sour cherry, the latter lasting briefly into the aftertaste. Light in body, with vigorous carbonation that adds a crisp bite to this brew's otherwise smooth mouthfeel. Great drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.91, a B+. From what I remember, Tahiti Treat was basically carbonated fruit punch - and while there are, indeed, hints of citrus & tropical fruits to be detected here by a discerning tongue, it's really the cherry in the driver's seat. And that's this brew's major weakness: a lack of depth. I think Autopop Tahitian Treats would make for a good introductory sour - the flavours are palatable, and the sourness isn't all that aggressive. I'd drink this again, but considering both the price point ($5 per can) and my own lack of interest in fruity sours, it might not happen for a while.

473 mL can
Served in an oversized wine glass
This beer pours a lovely purple hue and is topped with a lively pinkish head that leaves no trace.
Big cherry aroma. It reminds me of cherry 7UP. Tart cherries.
It tastes like carbonated cherry juice. Tart cherry flavor. Pretty one dimensional.
Thin bodied with an effervescent mouthfeel
Great if you are a cherry fan.
