Sample flight on draft from the brewery. Deep, dark brown, like motor oil with a short, tan head. This is a great take on a traditional Irish Dry Stout. Roasted coffee and chocolate notes. There's a definite emphasis on the flavors here, which I appreciate because I am increasingly turned off by the barrel-aged, imperialized stout craze. This is a true session beer.
