I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a mason jar.
Appearance: medium amber hue with a moderate haze and a thin layer of tan foam. Not too bad.
Smell: mild caramel and toffee aroma. Not overly complex, but nicely sweet and enticing.
Taste: plenty of caramel character along with a very mildly grainy element. A pretty good example of the style!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a very decent Irish red. The brewer says there's a dash of rye here; I don't taste it directly, but I'm sure it adds a dash of texture and unctuousness. Worth trying.
