They do not say this is a SMaSH beer but they state it is brewed with Golden Promise malt and Australian Galaxy hops. Dark amber with a slight haze. Aroma of caramel, toast, tropical fruit, citrus, and a bit of earth. The malt really makes a case for itself in the flavor. Notes of toffee, toast, musty grain, with hop flavors that are fruity like the tropics. Bitterness is moderate. Certainly more balanced than most IPAs being made these days. I love IPAs made with Golden Promise. This one did not disappoint.
