Citra Mosaic IPA

I am one of those few that does not like Citra hops. But I love Mosaic hops and Golden Promise malt so I gave this a go. Poured from a growler that was filled less than an hour ago. Clear amber color with 1/4" head. Looks like it is not very well carbonated as there are not many bubbles rising to the surface. It was filled from the supper club bar which I have never had done before so it could just be a fluke. Lovely aroma of citrus, dank weed, wild flowers, toast, and musty grain. Citra and Mosaic seems to bring out the best in each other. Plus the Golden Promise malt adds its own qualities instead of being just a hop vehicle. This one is much more floral flavored than other IPAs using this beer. Nice toasted, grainy flavor lies a solid foundation to give the citrus and floral flavors to come out. The dankness is subdued compared to the aroma. Definitely under carbonated, but is medium bodied. Glad I did not wait several days before I drank this beer but still very enjoyable.
